Fundraiser for Colby DuPree Elsey

Colby's Story - Daughter, Wife, Mom, Friend - Cancer Survivor

After facing one of life’s hardest battles, Colby and Chase are now on a journey of hope, resilience, and love — a journey to build their family through gestational surrogacy.

Almost a year ago, Colby was diagnosed with cervical cancer — news that turned their world upside down. Thanks to early detection and excellent medical care, Colby is now cancer-free. But the treatments that saved her life also meant losing the ability to carry a child. Even though they already have a beautiful son, Hutch, it was a devastating realization for a couple whose dream was always to grow their family and give Hutch a sibling.

Despite the heartbreak, Colby and Chase refused to let cancer define their future. With Colby’s eggs preserved prior to treatment, they began researching their options. The answer came in the form of gestational surrogacy— a path that allows them to have a biological child with the help of a generous and selfless surrogate.

Surrogacy is a beautiful but expensive process. While Colby and Chase are working hard and saving every bit they can, they cannot do it alone. This isn’t just about surrogacy — it’s about rebuilding life after loss, about hope triumphing over adversity, and about the power of community to lift each other up.

Colby and Chase are forever grateful for your support on this journey. From the bottom of their hearts, thank you for being a part of their story.
